The Gaziantep Landfill Gas to Energy Project turns waste into clean power for one of Turkey’s largest cities. Located at the main landfill serving Gaziantep’s 1.2 million residents, the project captures methane from decomposing waste and converts it into renewable electricity — reducing greenhouse gas emissions while strengthening local energy resilience.
Developed and operated by CEV Enerji, part of Korea-based CEV Clean Energy & Vehicle, the project will expand in two phases to reach a total installed capacity of 5.655 MW. Operating through 2038, it delivers measurable climate impact while transforming landfill emissions into sustainable value for the community.
